Surgery - Cardiothoracic

VeloSource has a Cardiothoracic Surgery-PA Opportunity - Newburgh, IN

• Seeking Part-Time Advanced Practice Providers (Physician Assistants only)
• This assignment includes 24 hour call coverage throughout the week, in addition to patient care during normal daytime hours.
• Minimum Experience Required: 5 years
• Must be proficient in EVH (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting) — Maquet system experience required
• Responsible for inpatient rounding and surgical assistance (no clinic at this time)
• Call schedule: Every other weekend and shared weekday call with one additional PA
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. until completion of cases and floor responsibilities
• Preferred: No malpractice claims to support rapid credentialing for temporary privileges
• Case Types: CABG, valves, Maze procedures, lung cases, pacemakers, and more
• Volume: Approximately 430 heart cases annually
• Daily caseload: 2–4 cases per day
• Will work with one of two cardiac surgeons
• Providers must have verifiable experience in Vein Harvesting and must supply documentation of at least 20 EVH cases within the past 24 months to be considered. This information is required to meet privileging criteria.
