Emergency Medicine

VeloSource has an Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Massachusetts.

• Community Hospital
• Both Day and Night shifts
• 10-12 shifts per month
• Percent (%) of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 15%
• Percent (%) of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 15%
• Percent (%) of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 1-2 pts per day
• Total Number of Beds: 44
• Annual ER Volume: 55,000
• Number of ED Physicians in Group: 11 total physicians
• Fast track in ED
• Fast Track Staffed APP
• Percent (%) of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40%
• Locum will supervise APPs
• ED Staff Responds to House Codes; Secondary to ED emergencies, we have a response team. ED does airway on that team.
• Deliveries Sent Directly to Labor & Delivery
• ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio
• 24 Hour Availability for Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray)
• 24 Hour Availability for Laboratory
• Blood Bank - Certified by AABB
• 24 Hour Availability for Anesthesia
• Board Certified (ABEM and AOBEM) or Board Eligible with 5 years of Residency - REQUIRED
• Active MA License - REQUIRED
