Emergency Medicine

VeloSource has an Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Owensboro, KY.

• Level 3 trauma center
• 27 regular rooms, 3 BH rooms, 2 Trauma Rooms, 12 fast track rooms
• Certified primary stroke center
• Around 60,000 annual visits (average total of 164 patients in 24 hour period)
• Staffing model in a 24 hour cycle: 7 MDs and 4 APCs
• MD Shift times: 5A-2P, 6A-3P, 12P-9P, 1P-10P, 4P-1A, 7P-5A, 9P-6a (9HR shifts)
• APC Shift times: 8A-6P, 10A-8P, 12P-10P (fast track shift), 5P-3A
• Have all specialty support, so able to keep most things other than transplant, burns and spines for adults. 
• Peds: peds hosp will admit B&B cases and ENT, Orthopedics and gen surg will do appies. If PICU is needed, will transfer.
