VeloSource has an Emergency Medicine Opportunity - Springfield, MA

• Coverage Need: both Days and Nights, 8-12 shifts per month needed
• Trauma Level/Designation: None-community hospital
• Total Number of Beds: 44
• Annual ER Volume: 55,000
• Number of ED Physicians in Group: 11 total physicians of which 5 are leaving
• Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers - APPs
• ED Staff Responds to House Codes
• Secondary to ED emergencies, we have a response team. ED does airway on that team
• Response Time for On Call Physicians: 30 minutes
• ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio
• 24 Hour Availability for Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray)
• 24 Hour Availability for Laboratory
• Blood Bank - Certified by AABB
• 24 Hour Availability for the OR
• 24 Hour Availability for Anesthesia
• Provider Must be Local - Only Mileage is Reimbursed
• Pathology:  Clinical, Anatomical
• Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho
• Board Certified (ABEM and AOBEM) or Board Eligible with 5 years of Residency - REQUIRED
• Active MA License - REQUIRED
