VeloSource has a Gastroenterology Opportunity - Washington, PA

• Board Status: Board Certified; Board Eligible
• PA State License Required (will accept candidates needing to obtain a license)
• Minimum # Years Experience: 1
• DEA Required
• Certifications Required: ACLS; BLS
• Coverage Need Details: Daily rounding Monday through Sunday; 24-hour coverage, evening on-call - 24/7 availability.
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 14
• Types of Calls: ln-House; Telephone; 30min Response
• Notes re: Call: No direct admissions to GI service, Evening on-call and response to ED for emergencies, Inpatient Hospitalist service provides primary coverage
• Travel Allowed: Mileage (Personal Vehicle); Airfare; Lodging; Parking; Rental Car & Fuel; Ground Transportation
• Candidates Typical Day: Rounding on inpatients - new consult and f/u consults. Procedures as needed for inpatients. Evening on-call and response to ED for emergencies. No APP/Mid-level coverage available. Rounding in AM; typically daily rounding consist of 4-5 hours.
• Workload per Day/Night: 5-10 inpatient new consults/day.
• Procedures vary based upon patient needs. May include 2-3 ERCP, 2-3 colonoscopies, and 3-4 endoscopies/day.
• UGIB, LGIB, food impaction, dysphagia, abd pain, chronic diarrhea, pancreatitis, etc.
• Procedures: Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Percutaneous Gastrostomy.
