Surgery - Breast

VeloSource has a General Surgery (Breast Surgery) Opportunity in Harrisburg, PA.

• PA state license required (will accept candidates needing to obtain a license)
• Must be Board Certified
• Minimum # Years Experience: 2
• Requirement Notes: ultrasound experience and ability to perform in office biopsies. Site needs someone who can cover a minimum of 20 days per month.
• DEA Required
• Certifications Required: BLS
• CSR License Required
• Coverage Need: Full time breast surgeon; dedicated clinic and OR times. Need to take call one week per month. Will have dedicated full office staff. No general surgery call.
• Types of Calls: Telephone; Beeper
• Providers Typical Day: Patients with any breast issue benign or malignant seen in the office and surgery as needed. Some days are clinic and some dates are OR preplanned.
• Schedule: M-F 8-4:30 (OR days are 8-5) OR days are Tuesdays (8-5) and the 2nd, 4th, & 5th Friday afternoon (12:30-4:30) of each month. One week of call is needed per month – Monday-Sunday.
• Workload Info per day: 12-15 outpatient. Cases: 1-4. Evaluations: 2-3
• Typical Cases Seen: Cancer and benign breast disease
• Procedures: Lumpectomy, Mastectomy, I&D and biopsies
• Travel Covered: Mileage (Personal Vehicle); Airfare; Lodging; Parking; Rental Car & Fuel
