Hematology - Oncology

VeloSource has a Hematology & Oncology Opportunity - Jasper, IN

• Minimum years of Experience: 3
• Board level: Board Certified in both Medical Oncology and Hematology
• Certifications: BLS, ABLS, ACLS, PALS
• Workload: Outpatient work
• Monday through Friday 7am - 4:30 pm (patient appointments hours are 8am - 3:50 pm, with some flexibility)
• Call some nights and weekends. - 2nd call
• Will need to round and be willing to take call from the ED or Hosp on staff
• General Oncology work, no specific procedures required
• Patient Mix: Heavier on the Oncology side vs Hematology
• 16 bed unit
• Staff: 2 NPs RN, Rooming staff and Phone Nurse
• Physician will see 10-12 patients per day when first starting but will eventually see up to 16-22 established patients per day once comfortable.  
• Clinic, infusion and radiation onc. in same suite. 
• Linear accelerator (LINAC) used
• Locum will need to attend the tumor board meeting every Thursday with the practice at noon.
