VeloSource has a Family Medicine Opportunity - Canonsburg, PA

• Board Status: Board Certified; Board Eligible
• PA state license required (will accept candidates needing to obtain a license)
• Minimum # Years Experience: 1
• DEA Required
• Certifications Required: ACLS; BLS
• Coverage Need: This locum position will cover three office sites. Travel between the three sites is necessary. Will be assigned to see Family Medicine patients only, with no inpatient rounding or precepting resident's responsibilities.
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 20
• Travel Allowed: Mileage (Personal Vehicle); Airfare; Lodging; Parking; Rental Car & Fuel; Ground Transportation
• Candidates Typical Day: Will see up to 16 patients per day, 8 in the morning session and 8 in the afternoon session. Hours are 8am to 4pm with 1 hour break for lunch.
• APP mid-level coverage is 8a-4p. There is no APP assistance for physicians.
• One locum needed for 3 separate locations. Will be at one location per day but required to rotate between the 3 locations.
• No APP supervision is required. APPs are in the offices but work independently.
• Seeing a variety of patients IE: all ages from newborn to geriatric. Adult percentage: 90% Peds percentage: 10%.
• Typical Cases Seen: Disease Management, Gynecological Care, Immunizations, Pediatric Care, Physicals, Wellness Visits, ER/hospital follow up, Acute Illnesses, Geriatric Care, Lab Testing, Patient Health Education, Spirometry Testing, Diagnostic Tests, Health Screening Tests, Pain Management, Wound Care, Injection Procedures, Incision and Drainage.
